WHAT ARE SOME REALLY HEALTHY FOODS THAT YOU CAN SNACK ON?

When I get inspired during the day I routinely squeeze the cookie or the gatorade. But I’m the teenager as well as I’m similar to 90 pounds. I’m really endangered about my weight as well as I’m fearful if I keep these day to day up I’ll get overweight..so does any one know of any full of health dishes which will assistance we grow as well as have been healthy?

Thanks,
Jack

If you have a whole foods market in your area check them out because they sell organic foods which are healthy but EXPENSIVE from what I hear.

if anything your extremely underweight and you should be eating cookies non stop and drinking bacon grease. Being severely underweight is more detremental than eating “unhealthy” food. Seriously you need to eat alot more fatty foods but keep them in control to hit a healthy weight then manage it by maintaining a healthy diet. Once there healthy snacks might include fiber bars, PB&J’s, small salads, small sandwhich’s with low fat cheese and condaments. The sky is the limit with healthy snacks honestly. Since your a teen chances are your effort weight management will be almost next to none because of your high metabolism ie you can eat fried chicken every day and not gain a pound.

Also do not buy or support Organic Foods. It is a huge scam and the healthy aspect of them is completely mental. They convince people to buy it buy saying there are no hormones which hurt you or pestacides; both of which really won’t hurt you and it’s just paranoia by health nuts. Saw a blind study where several organic foods were lined up with non organic in a food market and random subjects picked and most of them were organic nuts and almost every single one said the non organic was organic because it tasted better and looked better.

i like to chomp on a few nuts if i want salty. i like to eat fruit like peaches for a sweet snack. and vegetables like celery for crunchy, but you can eat any fruit or vegetable, typically they do fill u up somewhat and kinda help u forget about the junkfoods. burritos are also a tasty option. ham sandwiches made of whole grain bread, cuz whole grain fills you up way better than cookies or white bread… din’t go overboard about being perfectly healthy just substitute your snacks with something that’s not so junky.

celery :) not everyone’s favorite snack but I’ve heard that eating it makes you loose weight :) something about the amount of calories you burn from digesting it are less then what you put on from eating it… I also love special K bars which are low in calories yet taste so good :) hope this helped

Hey, I’m a teen and I am worried about my weight too. Right now, I tend to snack on fruits such as apples and cherries as they are are very low in calories and are healthy. You could even try dried fruit such as sultanas, raisins and apricots etc. I would also suggest yoghurt aswell as it is quite healthy.
Once in a while you can treat yourself to a cookie though and if you are really concerned about what you are eating, why not exercise afterwards?
For drinks, try milk or water. If you find water a bit bland, pour a little squash in it. Milk has calcium and helps you grow aswell. Again, treat yourself to gatorade once in a while.

Snacking throughout the day is perfectly healthy and keeps your metabolism going. BUT you have to make sure that your portions are small and your snacks are healthy! Since you’re still growing, eating 4-6 small meals a day will keep you satisfied.
Try:
Trail mix – Nuts (almonds, walnuts, cashews, dried raisins or cranberries, pretzels)
Fruit and Yogurt – Try http://www.yocrunch.com for the kind that has fruit, yogurt and low-fat granola in it.
Apples and Peanut Butter
Rice cakes with Nutella on them
String Cheese
Assorted veggies with red pepper hummus (or ANY good flavor!)
Melba toast with a lowfat cream cheese spread
Cucumbers, olive oil & vinegar, and feta cheese (w/ salt and pepper)
Tuna salad with lowfat mayo and celery

Try different recipe sites to be creative. Good luck!
