Powder can last longer than creams because the natural bacteria can not thrive so well there. . . . Just be careful not without interruption, and if you get a barn or an infection in the eye, it should be discarded. To “clean” my shadow, I go through every 6 months with a disposable cotton cake fresh for each shade, and the top layer dry.
want to always use a clean brush, you may be good in a couple eyeshadow brush I invest personally MAC and Stila brushes it cost a bit but they last a long time.
